この夏、マウンテンバイクを楽しむ人にとって見逃せない週末がやってきます。8月8日（土）・9日（日）の2日間、「2026 KIDS OF JAPAN / DHS in MTBファンミーティング」を開催します。小学生から中学生、そして大人のエキスパートまで、幅広いクラスが一堂に会するレースイベントです。

KIDS OF JAPANは、日本のキッズカテゴリーにおける最高峰の大会として位置づけられており、全国から集まる子どもたちがそのシーズンの頂点を目指して走ります。今年からは中学生クラスも新設され、対象の幅がさらに広がりました。加えて、経験を問わず参加できるオープンKIDSクラス、通常のDOWNHILL SERIESクラスも同時開催。初めてダウンヒルレースに挑戦する子どもたちから、シーズンを通してポイントを重ねるベテランライダーまで、それぞれのペースで楽しめる大会です。会場では協賛企業によるバイクやパーツの展示・試乗会、プロライダーとのライドイベントも予定しており、走る人にも見る人にも見応えのある2日間になりそうです。

大会期間中は特設コースを使用するため、10番コース・15番コースが通行規制の対象となります。ふだんマウンテンバイクパークをご利用いただいているお客様は、8日・9日にお越しの際、この2コースのご利用状況について現地スタッフまたは当日の案内表示をご確認いただけますと幸いです。ご不便をおかけする場面もあるかもしれませんが、大会の盛り上がりとあわせて楽しんでいただければと思います。

エントリーはまだ間に合います。事前エントリーの締切は8月7日（金）正午までですが、それ以降も当日エントリーを受け付けており、8月8日（土）午前10時までに受付でお申し込みいただければ参加が可能です（当日エントリーは通常より参加費が加算されます）。エントリーフォームはこちらから

This summer brings a weekend not to miss for mountain bike fans. On Saturday, August 8th and Sunday, August 9th, we’re hosting the “2026 KIDS OF JAPAN / DHS in MTB Fan Meeting” — a race event bringing together riders from elementary school kids all the way up to adult experts.

KIDS OF JAPAN is recognized as Japan’s top-level competition in the kids’ category, with young riders gathering from across the country to compete for the season’s championship title. This year adds a new junior high school class, broadening the field even further. The event also features an Open KIDS class open to riders of any experience level, along with the regular DOWNHILL SERIES classes. Whether you’re a child taking on downhill racing for the first time or a veteran chasing points through the season, there’s a class for every pace. Sponsor booths will showcase bikes and parts with test-ride opportunities, and pro riders will join in for meet-and-ride sessions — a weekend with plenty to enjoy for racers and spectators alike.

Please note that during the event, Course 10 and Course 15 will be restricted for general use, as the race runs on a specially set course. If you’re a regular visitor to our mountain bike park, please check with on-site staff or the day’s signage regarding the availability of these two courses when visiting on the 8th or 9th. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope you’ll enjoy the extra excitement in the air.

There’s still time to enter. The pre-entry deadline is Friday, August 7th at noon, but same-day entries will also be accepted at the reception desk until 10:00am on Saturday, August 8th (a late fee applies for same-day entries). Along with the entry fee, a gondola/lift ticket is required (Lift No. 4 will be used for the race). When purchasing your lift ticket, please let the ticket center staff know you’re a race participant.

Spectators are welcome too. It’s a rare chance to watch kids racing with real focus alongside seasoned riders giving it their all. Come cheer them on, or let it be the spark for your own child’s first race.
